Our mission is to improve the data availability for conservation biology by
exploiting the uniqueness intrinsic to natural animal markings. We therefore develop
computer vision techniques and methods of their application in order to robustly capture this
biometric individuality from video images providing the means for an automatic,
visual, truly non-intrusive identification of large numbers of
individuals.
Current Work Projects:
Penguin Recognition Project
Automatic Photo Identification of Zebras
Bontebok HornshapeID
Generic Turing-Pattern ID System
